Join our Bellydance Troupe

BellyUp is always looking for new, enthusiastic and committed talent to join our bellydance ensembles. We look for bellydancers with proven bellydance experience, a zest for or keen interest in performing on stage and the ability to learn choreography quickly. Importantly you have a commitment to your ongoing education in Raks Sharqi and have the time in your life to dedicate to multiple weekly in-studio rehearsals plus at home practice time. Additional requirements include that you are a registered student of BellyUp and are committed to your ongoing training. To audition, we require you to learn and perform a short but complete choreography that you'll perform and be assessed on.  If accepted you become an apprentice and start regular participation in all rehearsals to learn the troupe choreographies. Once deemed ready to perform you are placed in formation within the group. Expectations are high for our troupe members and technique must be solid before we let you hit the stage. This is a great opportunity to become part of a very special group of passionate dancers who are fortunate to perform at many of the area's top events and functions. All dancers are responsible for the purchase of their own professional costumes. Some studio costumes are provided but each member also owns several professional level Egyptian style cabaret costumes.
