As dancers I believe we have a special connection to each other that many industries do not. We move from the heart and soul no matter what color we are, what country we’re from or what language we speak. This gives us a special opportunity to shine a light on racism, discrimination, brutality and harassment which our dance studio has absolutely zero tolerance for.

I know that right now, as a white business owner, listening is more important than ever. And, as a white privileged woman, I recognize that I will never fully understand what it is like to be oppressed for the color of my skin.  I am committed to listening and learning along with unlearning any pre-conceived biases and beliefs I hold and I will do so with an open mind, open heart, with compassion, empathy, love and accountability.

I call on our dance students to step into this commitment with me so that we can work together to dismantle ingrained systems of inequality wherever they are found. I understand this is forever work!
