Here's a helpful checklist of what to prepare for your first class:

  1. Please bring as little as possible with you to class and arrive 5-10 minutes early. We have a zero-tolerance late policy.
  2. Remove your outdoor shoes when you come inside.
  3. Sign in at the front desk upon arrival for every class.
  4. Bring a bottle of water. Stay hydrated!
  5. We recommend workout wear. Leggings/tank top is great.
  6. Footwear can be indoor-use track shoes, dance slippers or bare feet.
  7. Bring a hip scarf or something to tie around your hips.
  8. Take your belongings to the dance floor and place at the back of the room.
  9. We fill the class from front to back.
  10. Our doors lock 5 minutes after the class starts. Please be on time.

Other helpful tips!

  • Introduce yourself to your Instructor. Let her know of any health or physical issues she should be aware of.

  • Get to know the other students! Before or after your class, take time to introduce yourself to those in your class.

  • Listen to your body and go at your own pace. This is important! If you need to sit out for any reason, feel free to take a short break whenever needed.
  • Everyone learns differently! We realize people learn at a different pace and in different ways. Your Instructor will always ask if there are questions so don't be shy if you're not understanding a move or a concept. She will be happy to break it down for you in a different way. Just ask! We love questions.

  • Classes always start with a warm-up and guided follow along with the Instructor. After that posture/alignment, arm and hand positions and technique breakdowns will be taught and practiced.  Students typically learn several moves and travelling steps in a lesson which are drilled and then eventually all glued together to create a short sequence which is then practiced for the last part of the class. At the end of the class your instructor will summarize what was covered and will encourage you to practice at home which is the key to progressing.

Make-Up Class Policy: You're permitted two make-up classes per session. So if you miss a class, you can take another class at the same level anytime during the session. If possible we recommend you take your make-up class in the same week you miss a class which will help you stay current with the curriculum. Please note that your two make-up classes must be taken during the session and cannot be carried over to future session. You do not need to book a make-up class, just arrive for the class time you want to take and sign-in a the front desk.

Please remember that your registration is non-refundable and non-transferrable to future sessions.
